We decided to get married far away in order to alleviate a lot of the stress and problems that sometimes surround weddings at home. In fact, we originally wanted to elope, but our mothers didn't have a very favorable reaction to that! So to compromise, we decided to get married on Maui, and have receptions in our hometowns upon our return. Peter is from Randolph, New Jersey and I am from Schaumburg, Illinois so we essentially had three wedding receptions within three weeks. OK, so I failed at alleviating all that stress and all those problems I initially set out to avoid. Obviously, three receptions is triple the fun but triple the work. It quickly became clear to me that I needed an advisor, a planner and someone to help me maintain my sanity. And then I came upon everafter and found my wedding angel named Jen Polkow. Jen is brilliantly creative, a great listener, is incredibly organized and truly enjoys all details, big and small, that make for an amazing wedding. From deciding what island to get married on only days after we got engaged until the last of three receptions, Jen was there offering great suggestions that lead to three parties nothing short of magic. Not only is Jen amazing at planning weddings, but to top it off, she's an absolute joy to be around. Not only does working with everafter take the stress off the bride and groom, but they allow you to truly live and enjoy the most wonderful moments that make up the best day of your life. (Or in my case, the best three days of my life!) I give my gratitude and thanks to everafter, and I would recommend working with them to anyone. Thanks, Erin and Peter
